*Odds correct as of 15:45 on October 5

After a dismal start to the season that saw Everton lose four of their opening five matches, things looked to have turned around for the Toffees with a 3-1 away win against Brentford. However, instead of using that game to kick-start their campaign, Sean Dyche’s side became the first ever side to lose a Premier League game against Luton, falling to a 1-2 defeat at Goodison Park. The Toffees how now lost their last four home league games and could become just the fifth side in the English top flight to lose their first five home matches of a single campaign after Manchester United in 1930/31, Portsmouth in 2009/10, Bolton Wanderers in 2011-12 and Newcastle United in 2018-19.

However,  Sean Dyche has won seven Premier League games against Bournemouth, his most wins against an opponent in the competition. He’s won his last five in a row against the Cherries, stretching back to September 2018 with Burnley.

Bournemouth, meanwhile, have also struggled this season, losing four and drawing three of their opening seven matches this campaign, being one of two teams alongside Sheffield United yet to pick up three points. As it stands, Andoni Iraola currently holds the joint-longest winless runby a Spanish manager from the start of a Premier League career. He’s level with Pepe Mel with West Brom in 2013-14, who won his eighth game in charge away at Swansea (2-1).
