Brighton vs Bournemouth odds
We’re five games into the new season and Brighton are sitting just outside the top four. The Seagulls only seem to have eyes on moving up the table, proving they are here to stay among the European challengers after their best ever league finish last season. After winning their first two games of the season against Luton and Wolves, some preached caution when Brighton were beaten 3-1 by West Ham. But the Seagulls recovered with a win over Newcastle and then beat Manchester United at Old Trafford. They do come into this game off the back of a defeat, though, losing on their European debut against AEK Athens.
Bournemouth, meanwhile, are still looking for their first win of the 2023/24 season. The Cherries are one of five Premier League sides without victory after five gameweeks, though two of those have only played four matches. It’s been a tough start to life in the Premier League for Andoni Iraola, who opened with a draw against West Ham before losing to Liverpool and Tottenham. Bournemouth are unbeaten in their past two matches, securing draws with Brentford and Chelsea.

Brighton vs Bournemouth Palace match tip
Kaoru Mitoma 1+ assists @ 6/4 with Sky Bet
Kaoru Mitoma was kept quiet by Manchester United last weekend, despite the victory, but it’ll be tough for Bournemouth to do the same. The Japanese international has provided three assists in the Premier League so far this season, with 14 chances created. All 14 chances created have been from open play, more than any other player in the Premier League this season.

Lewis Dunk sat out of Brighton’s Europa League defeat against AEK Athens due to injury but the hope is that he will be available for Sunday’s match. Evan Ferguson also missed the defeat due to illness but should be fine to feature. James Milner and Pascal Groß are doubts, while Jakub Moder and Julio Enciso are both long-term injuries so will play no part here.

– | Alex Scott, Ryan Fredericks, Dango Outtara | Tyler Adams |
Tyler Adams could be closer to a Bournemouth debut after joining the club injured. Iraola is reluctant to put a date on the American’s return, however, and he has been out since March so it definitely wouldn’t be a start. Alex Scott is also yet to make his debut, still injured, joined on the sidelines by Ryan Fredericks and Dango Outtara.
