Now one of Dortmund’s most important attackers, the Dutch winger once graced the field for PSV, scoring 55 goals in 116 appearances between 2017 and 2021 with the Eindhoven giants, picking up an Eredivisie medal along the way.
But Malen will hold no sentiment when Wednesday’s second leg kicks off. In fact, he’ll be looking to extend an excellent run of form that has seen him hit seven goals in his last seven appearances across all competitions, including one in the first leg at the Philips Stadion.
That goal proved good only for a draw, but he’d love nothing more than going one better on Wednesday evening. In doing so, he’d also knock out former Dortmund boss Peter Bosz.
