Blackburn vs Wrexham FA Cup predictions: Tips, odds and team news
Blackburn Rovers and Wrexham go head-to-head in the fourth round of the FA Cup on Monday at 7:30pm (UK time).
Blackburn vs Wrexham odds
Blackburn’s 5-2 victory over Cambridge in round three was a welcome distraction from their poor league form that has seen them pick up two points from their last seven matches and record just one win from their last 10 in the Championship (W1 D2 L7). A first senior hat-trick from Championship top goalscorer Sammie Szmodics and further strikes from Arnór Sigurdsson and Harry Leonard saw Rovers progress to the next round in style, despite a spirited start from Cambridge, who twice took the lead in the opening 26 minutes.
Wrexham, meanwhile, booked their place in round four with a 1-0 away win against rivals Shrewsbury thanks to a 72nd-minute goal from defender Thomas O’Connor. After a 3-1 defeat to Premier League side Sheffield United in a fourth-round replay last season, after drawing the first match 3-3, Phil Parkinson’s side will be hoping to book a place in round five of the competition for the first time since 1997 when they reached the quarter-finals.

Blackburn vs Wrexham match tip
Sammie Szmodics to score anytime @ 23/20 with Midnite
Despite Blackburn’s troubles in the league that have seen them pick up just one win from their last 10 games, Sammie Szmodics continues to find the back of the net. The forward is currently the top goalscorer in the Championship this season with 16 goals from 26 appearances and took his goalscoring form into the FA Cup third round, where he scored his first-ever senior hat-trick with three goals against Cambridge.
Since the start of November, he has found the back of the net 12 times in 13 appearances, including five goals in his last four matches.
