As we edge close to October, there just two teams in La Liga left unbeaten. One of those teams is Barcelona, and the defending champions once again find themselves top of the table. Just like last season, Barcelona opened the new campaign with a draw, held by Getafe but since then it’s been nothing but wins. Barcelona have beaten Cadiz, Villarreal, Osasuna, Real Betis and Celta Vigo, as well as Royal Antwerp in the Champions League.

Sevilla, on the other hand, are trying to get their season up and running after a disastrous start. The defending Europa League champions lost their opening four games of the season across all competitions, losing their first three league matches as well as the UEFA Super Cup final. But the 2-1 defeat to Girona in the league, which sent Sevilla to the bottom of La Liga, may have started the turnaround. Sevilla are now unbeaten in three games, beating Las Palmas before drawing with Lens and Osasuna.

Barcelona vs Sevilla match tip

Robert Lewandowski to score or assist

There’s something of a surprise name near the top of the assist charts in La Liga right now. Although Alex Baena leads the way on four assists, sitting one back is Robert Lewandowski. The Polish striker has created just seven chances in La Liga but has three assists, just four fewer than he managed last season. But, of course, Lewandowski also has five goals in La Liga, with no player scoring more.

Barcelona vs Sevilla Bet-Builder tip

BTTS & Barcelona -1

Sevilla may be in poor form this season but they have still managed to find the back of the net. The Andalusian club have only failed to score in one of their eight games across all competitions so far this season, a goalless draw at the weekend. However, it’s hard to look past Barcelona getting the win. The Blaugrana have won three of their four home games this season by at least a two-goal margin, who two 5-0 victories.
