Fulham vs Arsenal Premier League predictions: Tips, odds and team news
Fulham and Arsenal meet in a Premier League showdown at Craven Cottage on Sunday at 2pm (UK time).
Fulham vs Arsenal odds
After back-to-back 5-0 wins against Nottingham Forest and West Ham, Fulham have now lost their last three Premier League games without scoring. A 2-0 home defeat to Burnley was sandwiched between losses on the road to Newcastle and most recently Bournemouth on Boxing Day, as the Cottagers slipped to 14th in the table, seven points behind Chelsea in 10th but with a game in hand. Another defeat without finding the net against the Gunners would set an unwanted record. It would be the first time they had lost four consecutive games without scoring in the Premier League and the first time it had happened at all since 1971 when Fulham were in the second tier.
Marco Silva’s side have a poor recent record in London derbies, losing five of the last seven, but after a 2-2 draw at the Emirates Stadium in August, they are looking to avoid defeat in back-to-back games against Arsenal for just the third time after 2008/09 (W1 D1) and 2011/12 (W1 D1).
Arsenal, meanwhile, lost ground in the title race after a shock 0-2 defeat to West Ham at the Emirates in midweek, as David Moyes won away at the Gunners across any competition for the first time in his managerial career. That result ended Mikel Arteta’s side’s unbeaten start to the season at home and their seven-game winning run at the Emirates, leaving them two points behind co-leaders Liverpool and Aston Villa and level with Man City. The Gunners have now lost three Premier League matches without scoring since the beginning of November, but are unbeaten in their last nine London derbies played away from home in the Premier League (W7 D2). They will be hoping to get back on track at Craven Cottage and win their final game of the year for the fourth straight season and equal their best-ever tally for Premier League wins in a single calendar year (25 in 2022).
