How to watch Arsenal vs Brighton live
Arsenal vs Brighton is scheduled for 12:30pm (UK time) on Saturday 31st August, with the game broadcast live in the UK on TNT Sports 1.
How both teams go into Arsenal vs Brighton
After two games, both Arsenal and Brighton have maintained a perfect record in the Premier League. For Arsenal, this is the start of another quest for the Premier League title having gone agonisingly close in the past two seasons.
The Gunners opened the campaign with a 2-0 win over Wolves before beating Aston Villa by the same scoreline. The win over Villa was a statement victory of sorts, as Arsenal fell to Unai Emery’s side last season — proving costly in their title quest.
Brighton, meanwhile, are in a new era. Fabian Hurzeler has replaced Roberto De Zerbi and things are going pretty swimmingly so far. The Seagulls beat Everton 3-0 on the opening weekend, hammering a defence that had looked pretty good last season.
But the big result came last time out. Manchester United travelled to the Amex and left with a 2-1 defeat thanks to Joao Pedro’s injury-time winner. Brighton also beat Crawley Town 4-0 to reach the EFL Cup third round in midweek.
Arsenal team news
Arsenal remain without Gabriel Jesus, with Mikel Arteta confirming he won’t be back until after the international break. Kieran Tierney and Takehiro Tomiyasu are also sidelined.
Jurrien Timber came in for Oleksandr Zinchenko in the win over Aston Villa and is likely to retain his spot in the XI.
Brighton team news
Mats Wieffer suffered a knock in Brighton’s opening weekend win over Everton. Billy Gilmour came into the XI to replace him against Man Utd and performed well. Wieffer remains a doubt, but with Gilmour joining Napoli, Hurzeler will have to dig deeper into his squad.
New signing Matt O’Riley is also a doubt, arriving with an ankle injury. Solly March is still around six weeks away from returning from his long-term injury.
Arsenal vs Brighton head-to-head
Each side has won three of the last six meetings in this fixture, but Arsenal’s victories have all come in the last four clashes. The last draw between these two was in October 2021.
