Albania vs Spain Euro 2024 prediction: Can La Roja go perfect?
Three-time European champions Spain continue their Euro 2024 campaign with their final group stage match against Albania.
Albania vs Spain Euro 2024 prediction: Can La Roja go perfect?
Albania vs Spain latest prediction
After two games of Group B Spain have already secured top spot. They were favourites for this group, but no one would have predicted it being this comfortable for Spain. La Roja have also seen their odds to win the tournament shortened slightly. Luis de la Fuente’s men opened the tournament with a 3-0 win over Croatia before beating defending champions Italy 1-0.
So now they go into this game looking to win their opening three matches of a European Championship tournament for just the second time. They first achieved that feat at Euro 2008 which, of course, they went on to win. Then, Russia, Sweden and Greece were the three teams to fall to Spain in the group stage, though it was less convincing with two of the victories coming via late winners.
Albania, meanwhile, know they must produce a shock win if they are to keep their European journey alive. Taking part at the European Championship for just the second time, Albania didn’t make it out of the group at Euro 2016 despite winning one of their three matches.
This time around, Albania have one point from their opening two matches. They started the tournament extremely well, leading Italy after just 23 seconds, scoring the fastest goal in European Championship history. But they were unable to hold onto that lead, traveling within 20 minutes and eventually losing 2-1. Albania also opened the scoring in their game against Croatia, but had to rely on a dramatic late equaliser to secure a point.
The showdown between Albania and Spain occurs on 24th June at the Merkur Spiel-Arena in Dusseldorf.
Albania have scored first in both of their Euro 2024 games so far, but they may find it hard to breach the Spanish net. Spain have kept clean sheets in each of their two matches so far, restricting Italy to just four shots in total.
Spain have also scored at least twice in eight of their games against Albania, conceding three overall. At the same time, Albania have conceded twice in both of their two Euro 2024 games so far.

Albania latest team news
Armando Broja dropped down to the bench for Albania’s game against Croatia with Rey Manaj leading the line, and that will likely be the case against Spain. Two of Albania’s three goals at Euro 2024 have come from their No.10 (in the positional sense) with Nedim Bajrami netting against Italy and Qazim Laci vs Croatia.
Against Croatia, Bajrami was shifted over to the right, with Jasir Asani on the left and that may continue here. The back seven pick themselves, having been unchanged in both matches.
Spain latest team news
Spain made one change between their wins over Croatia and Italy. Aymeric Laporte came in for Nacho Fernandez at centre-back, and Spain did look to be in a bit more control defensively. As a result, we may see Laporte stay at the back.
However, with top spot already secured, with may see a lot of rotation from De la Fuente. Ferran Torres, Ayoze Perez, Mikel Merino and Mikel Oyarzabal are all among those hoping to make their mark having come off the bench at Euro 2024 so far.
Albania vs Spain head-to-head
Spain have won all eight previous meetings between these two sides, including a 2-1 victory when they last met for an international friendly in 2022.
