AEK Athens vs Brighton match tip

João Pedro to score anytime @ 47/20 with BetMGM

Brighton have scored eight goals in the Europa League so far this season, with four of those coming from João Pedro. The Brazilian striker bagged a brace on the opening matchday against AEK Athens, before also finding the net against Marseille and Ajax. He did draw a blank last time out against Ajax, but the Europa League appears to be his competition, making these odds pretty favourable.

*Odds correct as of 08:00 on November 29

Brighton’s debut European campaign started in the worst possible way as they were beaten 3-2 at home by AEK Athens, before following that up with a draw against Marseille. However, back-to-back wins over Ajax have moved Brighton to the brink of the knockout stages. Should Roberto De Zerbi’s side exact revenge on AEK Athens this week then they will secure a spot into the next round, potentially setting up a showdown with Marseille in the final round of fixtures for top spot and direct passage to the last 16.

But with AEK Athens lying just three points behind the Seagulls, a win for the Greek champions would leave the group too close to call. They would leapfrog Brighton on the head-to-head record and know they only need to match the Seagulls’ result on the final matchday to finish above them. However, the double over Brighton could prove easier said than done. No player in the competition produced more tackles last time out than the six managed by both Joël Veltman and Jan-Paul van Hecke as they kept a clean sheet in the 2-0 triumph at Ajax.
