Leicester vs Brighton

Brighton will look to strengthen their push for European football when they travel to Leicester City in the Premier League on Sunday, December 8th, at 2pm (UK time). The match is not scheduled to be broadcast live in the United Kingdom.

Joao Pedro to Score or Assist (11/10 with Sky Bet)

Joao Pedro is still just 23 years of age and is showing some of his best football of his short career this term. The Brazillian is averaging 0.69 goals per 90 minutes this term, and after seven goal contributions in his last seven appearances in the Premier League, I like the boosted offering of 11/10 from Sky Bet. Most other firms have this selection priced odds-on

Brighton to Win & BTTS (9/4 with bet365)

Despite their victory, Leicester conceded 31 shots against West Ham on Tuesday and rode their luck at times. I fancy Brighton to bounce back from their midweek defeat to Fulham and get back to winning ways. It’s hard to argue with the job Fabian Hurzeler is doing on the south coast with Brighton sitting fifth heading into the weekend. After wins against Man City and Bournemouth in November, they can kick-start their December with a win at the King Power.

I’ve also included both teams to score on Sunday. Nine of Brighton’s last ten have featured both teams finding the net, and six of Leicester’s last seven have also seen the bet click.

How both teams go into Leicester vs Brighton

The Foxes are beginning a new era under the stewardship of Ruud van Nistelrooy, and the former Manchester United striker claimed his first win as Leicester boss on Tuesday. It was a 3-1 win over West Ham, with goals from Jamie Vardy, Patson Daka and Bilal El Khannouss, that gave van Nistelrooy his first win, and Leicester are now seeking back-to-back home victories for the first time since April. Heading into the weekend Leicester sit 16th in the table, four points above the drop zone.

Things are going well for Brighton under Fabian Hurzeler. The 31-year-old has collected 23 points from his first 14 matches in charge of the club. The Seagulls are just four points behind Manchester City in fourth after the latest round of fixtures and have clearly instilled themselves as challenges for the European qualification spots once again this season.

Leicester team news

Harry Winks is unlikely to make this match, while Abdul Fatawu is out until August next year. However, Ricardo Pereira was sidelined with an ongoing thigh issue.

Brighton team news

Ferdi Kadioglu, Jack Hinshelwood, Adam Webster, James Milner and Solly March are out injured. Joel Veltman has tried this week but it’s uncertain if he will be fit enough to start on Sunday

Leicester vs Brighton head-to-head

Leicester haven’t beaten Brighton in 90 minutes in any of their last five meetings, although three of those clashes have ended level.
