Everton vs West Ham: Betting tips, predictions, odds & match preview
David Moyes takes on his former club when West Ham travel to fourth-placed Everton in the Premier League on Friday at 5.30pm.
Everton vs West Ham: Predictions
Despite a slight autumnal wobble Everton have recaptured their scintillating form from the start of the campaign and will look to extend their five-game unbeaten run in the Premier League when West Ham travel to the blue half of Stanley Park on Friday.
Carlo Ancelotti’s side got off to a flying start and were leading the pack in the opening weeks but a dip in form midway through October, which included three successive defeats, saw them drop down the table. The Italian has since masterminded four straight wins and fired the Toffees back up to fourth.
The Hammers meanwhile are winless in four, most recently drawing 0-0 with fellow top-half-of-the-table aspirants Southampton, and will be desperate to get back to winning ways to ring in the New Year. Moyes, in particular will be eyeing up a result against his former club.
In eight matches since leaving the Merseyside club, Moyes has overseen just the single win over Everton, coming in the 2017/18 season during his first stint at the Hammers helm. The Scot has aspirations of leading West Ham up the table, but one win in six is not the form of a club fighting for a top-10 status.

Everton vs West Ham: Match Stats
In the absence of midfield engine Allan, who is nursing a hamstring injury and has missed the previous two outings, a greater emphasis has been placed on Abdoulaye Doucoure to remedy the industrious exploits of his Brazilian teammate. The Frenchman (31) is second only to Allan (41) for tackles among Everton players this term.
For West Ham, Michail Antonio returned from his ill-timed injury to make a cameo appearance in the previous match against Southampton, but whether Moyes risks his forward fulcrum from the off on Friday remains to be seen. Sebastien Haller is likely to continue his extended run in the first team, but he will have to rein in the timing of his runs if he is to breech the Everton goalmouth, as he is one of only nine players with 10 or more offsides this term.
30 September 2020 – Everton 4-1 West Ham – League Cup
18 January 2020 – West Ham 1-1 Everton – Premier League
19 October 2019 – Everton 2-0 West Ham – Premier League
30 March 2019 – West Ham 0-2 Everton – Premier League
16 September 2018 – Everton 1-3 West Ham – Premier League
West Ham and Everton have already met this season at Goodison Park, with the Toffees running out comprehensive 4-1 victors in the League Cup fourth round, with Dominic Calvert-Lewin also helping himself to a hat-trick. Moyes will be desperate to avoid a repeat of that thrashing and end a run of four games without a win against Everton for the Hammers.
