Derby County will be looking for a fresh start come Sunday following a season filled with controversy regarding their spot in the Championship. Although Manchester United will be missing the large majority of their star players, Solskjaer will some experience in defence with Dean Henderson and Aaron Wan-Bissaka available for selection. In addition, Wayne Rooney’s men ended the 2020/21 campaign with the lowest number of goals scored in the Championship with just 36 goals.
Juan Mata’s time at United seems to be coming to its conclusion, however, he will likely be the most senior member of the squad available for selection on Sunday. Naturally, if he plays, he will be on set pieces and penalties which could provide him with a few opportunities on goal.
