Denmark vs Finland: Betting tips, predictions, odds & match preview
Finland will play their first ever major tournament match when they face Denmark in the Euro 2020 group stage on Saturday at 5pm.
Denmark vs Finland: Predictions
There was cause for celebration in November 2019 when Finland beat Liechtenstein 3-0 to secure their place at Euro 2020 with one game to spare. For the first time in the nation’s history, they had qualified for a major tournament at the 33rd attempt (including the World Cup), finishing second in Group J behind Italy. It wasn’t the greatest of qualification campaigns, but Finland only needed to be better than Greece and Bosnia and Herzegovina, winning six and drawing four of their 10 matches.
Denmark, meanwhile, will be hoping they can mirror their team of 1992 that won the European Championships, without the dramatic entry. This time, Denmark qualified as runners up in Group D, finishing three points clear of third-placed Republic of Ireland and only a point off group winners Switzerland. However, Denmark were unbeaten in qualifying, one of just five teams to achieve that feat, winning four and drawing four (joining Italy, Belgium, Spain and Ukraine).

Claim HereDenmark vs Finland: Match Stats
Finland go into Euro 2020 in a rough run of form, having enjoyed a largely positive 2020. After securing qualification for the European Championships, Finland lost back-to-back competitive matches including their Uefa Nations League opener but would go on to win five of six across all competitions including a 2-0 friendly win over France. However, they are winless in their past six including two defeats in their Euro 2020 warm up matches in which they failed to score. Denmark also kept four clean sheets in qualifying.
When you look at Denmark’s team, they don’t have any names that scream goalscorer, but Jonas Wind enters the tournament in good form for club and country. The FC Copenhagen striker scored four goals in his final six games for the club, and has three in seven appearances for Denmark including two in competitive play.
Denmark vs Finland: Corner Stats
Denmark’s five games in 2021 so far have seen them win 28 corners at an average of just over five per match, with their highest standing at nine in their recent friendly against Bosnia and Herzegovina. Finland, meanwhile, have won 24 corners in their five matches in 2021 so far but they have also conceded 23.
Denmark vs Finland: Cards Stats
Denmark have been a fairly clean side this year, being shown just five yellow cards in five matches, including two without a booking. In that same period, Finland have picked up eight yellow cards, with Rangers midfielder Glen Kamara receiving two (in World Cup qualifying).
