Croatia vs Portugal: Betting tips, predictions, odds & match preview
Croatia will be fighting against relegation from Uefa Nations League A when they host Portugal on Tuesday night.
Croatia vs Portugal: Predictions
Croatia have already faced relegation from Nations League A having finished bottom of their group in the 2018/19 edition, behind England and Spain. Then they were saved from relegation by a reshuffle of the competition’s format but now they have no such safety net.
The Blazers are currently third in League A3 on three points, level with bottom-placed Sweden who are currently facing relegation. But in order to ensure their safety, Croatia must beat Portugal. If Sweden better Croatia’s result, facing France, then Zlatko Dalic’s side will be demoted to League B.
But in Portugal, Croatia face a side who have nothing to play for. The reigning Nations League champions will not be able to qualify for the final tournament, three points behind group winners France with an inferior head-to-head record.
They may, however, want to finish the group on a high after their disappointing 1-0 defeat to France at the weekend in which they were underwhelming.

Croatia vs Portugal: Stats
Cristiano Ronaldo was one of the many Portuguese players frustrated by France at the weekend, but if anybody is going to bounce back to hurt Croatia, it’s him. The 35-year-old is still just seven goals behind Ali Daei in his quest to become the highest scoring male footballer in international football.
Although Portugal drew a blank against France, the odds of that happening this week are slim. France are the only team to have stopped Portugal from scoring in the Nations League, with the reigning champions the topscorers of the group. But Croatia aren’t too bad in front of goal either, scoring seven in their five games including one against Portugal in the group opener – a 4-1 defeat.
