Colombia vs Argentina: Predictions
Argentina have got off to a great start in the quest to secure a spot at the 2022 Qatar World Cup. In their opening five games, Lionel Scaloni’s men have won three times and drawn twice – only bettered by the top of the group Brazil. However, Argentina were held to a 1-1 draw against Chile last time out so will be hoping to get back to winning ways.
Colombia will feel this is a great opportunity for them to get back on track for next winter’s tournament. Reinaldo Rueda’s men have got their qualifying off to a pretty underwhelming start with two wins, one draw and two defeats to their name. Tuesday’s game will certainly be a tough ask, but it would provide Colombia a huge confidence boost if they can clinch the three points.
Having picked up 10 points from their opening four qualifying games last year, Scaloni will be hoping his side bounce back from the shared points last week against Chile. Lionel Messi opened the scoring from the spot on Friday and the Argentine’s will have left the game in Santiago del Estero disappointed with their visitors only having one shot on target in the whole game.

Colombia vs Argentina: Match Stats
Argentina have got off to a great start to their qualification group stages for the 2022 World Cup. However, in three of their five games, they have only scored on one occasion and in the other two games, they have only scored twice. Despite sitting second in the group and having not lost, Scaloni’s men have failed to blow any team away as of yet.
Six of Argentina’s seven goals in these qualifying games have come within the first half of the game. Only in their 2-1 victory over Bolivia did Scaloni’s side find the back of the net in the second half of a game. Having drawn last week against Colombia, Argentina will be hoping they can get off to a quick start on Wednesday against Rueda’s side.
