Man City made it 12 successive domestic victories last weekend as they eased past Swindon 4-1 in the FA Cup third round. A run of 11 straight wins in the Premier League means they have extended their gap to Chelsea to ten points and 11 to Liverpool although the Merseysiders have a game in hand. The last six matches in all competitions have produced a remarkable 29 goals with Pep and his team netting 24 of those.

At the Etihad, City have won seven straight in all competitions and lost just four times in the last year with one of those defeats coming from Chelsea. Kevin de Bruyne and Raheem Sterling both have three goals from their last three starts in front of their own fans. They have been ahead at half-time and again at full-time in four of their last five here.

Chelsea booked their place in the League Cup final on Wednesday night beating Tottenham 1-0 making it four successive victories in cup competitions. The problem is that they have been dropping league points winning just one of their last five although they have lost just one of their last six. Defence has become something of a concern having kept just one clean sheet in their last nine.

On the road, the Blues have won just one of their last three but prior to that won five straight and picked up a point at Anfield. Five of their last six on their travels have gone over 2.5 goals. Mason Mount also enjoys playing away from Stamford Bridge with two in his last four away matches.

Man City vs Chelsea Match Stats

The home side are flying at the moment and have bagged a league high 53 goals in the Premier League. 27 of these have come in the opening 45 minutes and the last two Man City home league matches have seen seven goals before the break. Chelsea have shipped ten times in their last seven and are not the same defensive force without Ben Chilwell at left-back so back the hosts to score in both halves.

Joao Cancelo is a left-back in name only and his average position on heat maps shows how advanced he is allowed to play. He is averaging 2.2 shots per game this season and as such looks value in the shots on target market. The Skybet market has over 1+ shot on target and 5/4 and that looks worth siding with.
