Tottenham vs Burnley: Predictions

Tottenham have lost five of their last six Premier League games and the 2-1 loss to West Ham on the weekend will have disappointed the fans after their second-half fightback which saw Gareth Bale’s introduction change the game for the better as he spearheaded the majority of Tottenham’s attacks.

Sean Dyche’s side are now unbeaten in their last four Premier League games, however, he will have been left furious after his side failed to capitalise on a 10-man West Brom on the weekend as the Clarets had to settle for a point despite playing 60 minutes of football with an extra man.

Spurs will have been boosted by their midweek victory and clean sheet over Wolfsberger in the Europa League after being able to rest their key players whilst cruising into the last 16 of the competition. However, Harry Kane has only netted once in his last six league games and consequently lost ground in the Golden Boot race.

With the rejuvenation of Fulham over recent weeks Burnley will be looking over their shoulder as the Cottagers are only six points behind them. The Clarets should see Sunday’s game as an opportunity to cause an upset against a Spurs side who have only kept two clean sheets in their last 13 league games.

Tottenham vs Burnley: Match Stats

Harry Kane’s scintillating early season form has simmered off the boil in recent weeks but the England captain will have his eyes on getting back to top form against Burnley on the weekend. Kane has scored eight goals against the Clarets in the 10 games he has played against them in his career.

Burnley have not won away to Tottenham in the Premier League era. The Clarets’ last win away to Spurs came in October 1974 and have since lost six of their seven visits to north london.
