Burnley vs Manchester City: Predictions
Sean Dyche’s men are still in a relegation fight, but shock wins against Liverpool and Aston Villa have opened an eight-point gap on 18th-placed Fulham. Burnley stunned Liverpool at Anfield as the Lancashire side ended Liverpool’s 68-game unbeaten home run through Ashley Barnes’ late penalty.
Pep Guardiola’s side have struck a winning formula since their 2-0 defeat to Tottenham back in November and are looking to make this there tenth consecutive Premier League victory, following their 1-0 win over Sheffield United on Saturday.
City have only lost once in the Premier League on a Wednesday and have already tasted victory over Wednesday’s hosts in a 5-0 league victory and 3-0 win in the Carabao Cup.
Burnley will be hoping to replicate their heroics shown at Anfield earlier this month, however, the visitors have only conceded two goals in the past 12 league games. The Clarets hold an awful record against Wednesday’s visitors, across all competitions Burnley have only beaten City once since 1975.
