Brighton vs Wolves: Betting tips, predictions, odds & match preview
Brighton will look to move away from the relegation trap door when they welcome Wolves to the Amex in the Premier League on Saturday at 5.30pm.
Brighton vs Wolves: Predictions
Seventeenth-placed Brighton will look to stop the rot and end a run of seven winless games when they play host to Wolves in the Premier League this weekend.
Graham Potter is teetering on the brink of dropping into the bottom three, with his side currently winless since securing a vital 2-1 win over Aston Villa midway through November, and the immediate forecast does not look favourable, with away games to Man City and Leeds following this home tie against Wolves.
Arsenal recently inflicted the latest blow to Brighton’s safety chances, nicking a 1-0 win at the Emirates on Tuesday night, while Wolves’ own hopes of pushing for a European place were also thwarted by a ‘Big Six’ opponent on the same night, with Man Utd edging a 1-0 victory in the dying embers.
Nuno Espirito Santo’s side have been unable to follow up from that excellent 2-1 win over Chelsea earlier this month, losing to Burnley and the aforementioned game at Old Trafford, while also drawing with Spurs. A win on the South Coast could breed new life into Wolves’ top-six aspirations.

Brighton vs Wolves: Match Stats
The 2-2 draw at the Amex last season aside, historically this has not been a high-scoring fixture. In fact, across the last 16 matches there have only been two games in which over 2.5 goals have been scored: the aforementioned 2-2 draw, and a 3-3 anomaly in November 2012. Collectively there have been 10 goalless draws or 1-0 results across those 16 fixtures, stretching back to 2004.
If Potter is to orchestrate a win in what looks set to be a tense affair then he will need his central midfield to be at it from minute one. The English tactician will therefore thank his lucky stars that he can call upon Yves Bissouma to try and disrupt the intricate passing patterns of Joao Moutinho and Co. Only Oriol Romeu (53) has registered more tackles in the Premier League this season than Bissouma (48).

Brighton vs Wolves: Head to Head
07 March 2020 – Wolves 0-0 Brighton – Premier League

Despite Wolves enjoying two strong seasons since returning to the Premier League in 2018 they are yet to taste victory over Brighton, who have secured three successive draws and a 1-0 win. The last time these sides met at the Amex, Diogo Jota netted a first-half brace to rescue a point, but Espirito Santo will have to find away to breech the Brighton net without his former talisman, who is now doing the business for Liverpool, and also scored for the Reds at the Amex earlier this season.
