Brighton vs Burnley: Betting tips, predictions, odds and match preview

Burnley continue to look for their first Premier League win of the season as they head to the south coast to take on Brighton this Friday night.

Brighton vs Burnley: Predictions

Brighton & Hove Albion may only have five points on the board so far, but there’s a feeling that they have performed well and been unlucky in certain games, which is proven by the fact that they sit 8th in the xG points table despite being 16th in the actual table.

Another solid display was rewarded with zero points on Monday night as the Seagulls slipped to defeat at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium but boss Graham Potter will be hoping to convert those performances into points in the coming weeks.

His counterpart on Friday night, Burnley boss Sean Dyche, certainly has more reason to be worried. His side have picked up just one point from a possible 18 so far and as a result are unsurprisingly sitting bottom of the table.

That point came in a goalless away draw against fellow stragglers West Bromwich Albion and since then the Clarets have fallen to back-to-back defeats – failing to find the net against both Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea.

Brighton vs Burnley: Match Stats

Burnley look desperately short in front of goal at the moment, with a four-strong strike-force consisting of Chris Wood, Ashley Barnes, Jay Rodrugez and Matej Vydrya managing just one goal between them so far this term.

Neal Maupay was missing for Brighton’s loss away to Spurs on Monday, but he is likely to return here and should take advantage of a leaky Burnley backline to get plenty of shots away having averaged 3.17 so far this term despite the Seagulls having to face some very difficult opposition.
