Bournemouth vs Swansea: Predictions

Jonathan Woodgate’s side suffered defeat on Saturday in a dramatic 3-2 win for the travelling Barnsley. The defeat has left the Cherries’ hope of a place in the play-offs hanging in the balance as they now sit five points off sixth-placed Barnsley with just 10 games left in their season.

Swansea’s 1-0 win away to Luton Town certainly helped their hopes of finishing in the top two as it put them level on points with second-placed Watford and still with a game in hand on the Hornets. But Steve Cooper will be looking to avoid a bounce-back victory for their hosts which could leave them three points behind Watford come the end of the night.

The last four of Swansea’s victories have been won by just one goal with Andre Ayew netting two late penalties to claim all three points against Stoke City and Middlesbrough. The Swans did avoid a dramatic finish at the end of their last outing after taking the lead in just the third minute through Conor Hourihane.

Bournemouth vs Swansea: Match Stats

Andre Ayew has netted 14 times in the Championship alone for Swansea this season with the Ghanian scoring five goals in his last five league games. Ayew will be aiming to keep his fine run of form in front of going as before this recent goal-scoring spell he had only scored one goal in the previous 10 games.

Six of Swansea’s games this season against the current top seven teams have ended in under 2.5 goals this season with their win over Watford in January proving the only game in which over 2.5 goals were scored against a current top seven side.
