Defending champions Inter find themselves two points behind rivals Milan, who went top of Serie A thanks to an injury time winner against Lazio on Sunday. The Nerazzurri are unbeaten in their last eight league games and are looking for their fifth win on the bounce against a Bologna side that are without a home win against Inter in their last 16 attempts.
This will be the 150th Serie A meeting between the two sides, with Inter coming out victorious 73 times, while Bologna have recorded 41 wins against Wednesday’s opponents. Bologna vs Inter match stats
Marko Arnautovic has been Bologna’s main goal threat in Serie A this season, scoring 12 times in his 29 appearances for the Red and Blues. The Austrian international has scored at least seven more times than any of his teammates and has scored three goals in his last two games, including the opener against Juventus.

Lautaro Martinez has been in red hot form for the Nerazzurri, scoring four goals and providing one assist in his last three appearances, including a Derby della Madonnina double in the Coppa Italia. The Argentinian is Inter’s top goalscorer in all competitions this term (20), while only Ciro Immobile (7) has scored more Serie A goals since the beginning of March (5).
Inter will be without Hakan Calhanoglu who has provided more assists (10) and picked up more yellow cards (9) than any of his teammates in Serie A in 2020/21 and also pitched in with seven goals.
