Blackburn put a five-game winless run behind them in impressive style on Monday night with a 4-1 victory at Preston. Bournemouth drew for the fourth time in five games fighting back from three goals down to drawing 3-3 with Swansea.
Rovers were in eighth spot going into the weekend three points behind Sheffield United in sixth with two games remaining. The Cherries are second with three matches left three points ahead of Nottingham Forest in third who they still have to play.
At home, it is just one win in five for the Lancashire outfit with them failing to net in five of their last ten in front of their own fans. On the road, the South Coast side have been a mixed bag of late with two wins, two draws and two defeats in six.
The hosts will hope their four goals on Monday night will be the start of something having grabbed just four in the five prior to that. It has been goals galore in recent Bournemouth matches with a total of 11 from their last three.
Both teams are blessed with two natural goalscorers with the hosts having Ben Brerton-Diaz who has 21 for the season. The visiting team have Dominic Solanke who has an even more impressive 28 goals.

John Buckley was given an advance role against Preston on Monday night and scored one and created numerous chances. He looks too big to get among the goals against a side that shipped three in midweek.
