Belgium vs England: Betting tips, predictions, odds and match preview
England travel to Belgium on Sunday for a crunch match in Uefa Nations League Group A2.
Belgium vs England: Predictions
The Three Lions looked to be in a strong position to qualify for their second consecutive Nations League finals after beating Roberto Martinez’s men 2-1 at Wembley in October but could only follow up that impressive result with a drab 1-0 defeat at home to Denmark.
As a result, Gareth Southgate’s men are level with Denmark in second place — two points behind Belgium — and will be eliminated from the Nations League with a defeat in Leuven.
However, another victory over FIFA’s highest-ranked nation would leave England in an incredibly strong position, at worst level at the top of the group with Denmark with only a game against last-placed Iceland to come.
Both sides head into Sunday’s fixture off the back of friendly wins, with England beating the Republic of Ireland 3-0 and Belgium triumphing 2-1 against Switzerland.

Belgium vs England: Stats
Although England beat the Republic of Ireland 3-0 last time out, that goes against the trend of their recent results, with all four of the Three Lions’ Nations League matches being decided by one goal or less so far. Southgate’s side have managed just three goals in Group A2 and given the attacking options Belgium have at their disposal, you get the feeling England will need to produce more in the final third if they’re to win.
Harry Kane has 27 goals in 32 caps under Southgate to date, while Romelu Lukaku is Group A2’s top scorer having netted three times.
England have faced Belgium three times since the summer of 2018, with the Red Devils triumphing twice at the World Cup in Russia en route to a third-place finish, while the Three Lions won their last meeting 2-1.
