Hoffenheim made it four successive victories last time out when they edged past Cologne 1-0 on the road. The result means they went into this round of fixtures in fourth spot although the race is tight between themselves, Leverkusen, RB Leipzig and Freiburg for two Champions League spots. They tend to be involved in entertaining games with 11 of their last 14 seeing both teams score. In just one of their last five have Hoffenheim netted before the half-time interval.
At home, they are not easy opponents with only two sides (Dortmund and Mainz) defeating them on their own patch. Georgino Rutter has two in his last three at home while Christoph Baumgartner grabbed a brace last time out here. Only one of the last six sides to visit here (Bielefeld) have failed to net at least once. They need to be cautious about conceding early having done so in two of their last four in front of their own fans.
Bayern Munich booked their place in the last eight of the Champions League as they brushed aside FC Salzburg 7-1. In the Bundesliga, Bayern went into the weekend nine points clear at the top of the table although Dortmund have a game in hand. They did draw with Leverkusen 1-1 last time out in the league which means they have won just two of their last four. Both teams to score is a common feature of their games and has happened in five of their last six.
On the road, the Bavarians have lost just one of their last six but that came in their penultimate road trip going down 4-2 at Bochum. Remarkably they have kept just three league clean sheets away from home this campaign although all three have come in their last five. Robert Lewandoswki has seven goals from his last five away games while Leroy Sane has three in three. In six of their last nine Bundesliga away fixtures Bayern Munich have netted at least once in the opening 15 minutes.
Hoffenheim vs Bayern Munich: Match Stats
This should be an entertaining fixture as it features the highest scoring team in the Bundesliga away to the fifth highest. Bayern looked back to the best in midweek and should have too much for Hoffenheim. The hosts have seen that 11 of their last 14 matches involved both teams score so back a Munich victory and that occurence.
Robert Lewandowski is an incredible who probably should have at least one Ballon D’or to his name if not two. The Pole has 12 goals in his last ten in all competitions including a hat-trick in midweek. Backing him to score and Bayern to win looks a sensible bet at around the evens mark.

The previous meeting between these sides this season came on October 23rd and it was a comfortable 4-0 victory for Bayern. Andrej Kramaric does not mind a meeting with Bayern grabbing three in his last four. Seven of their last nine meetings have seen both teams score and gone over 2.5 goals.
