Bilbao have endured a tough route to the final, seeing off Real Betis and Levante in the previous two rounds to reach this stage following games against lower-league UD Ibiza and Alcoyano. After recently losing the rearranged 2019/20 Copa del Rey final to Basque rivals Real Sociedad, Marcelino’s men will be looking to make amends by lifting the latest edition of the tournament.
But Barcelona are in decent form. The Blaugrana enjoyed a nine-game unbeaten streak prior to their El Clasico loss last time out, which included a remarkable 3-0 win over Sevilla in the second leg of their semi-final, overturning a 2-0 deficit from the first leg. Barca are the most successful side in this competition with 30 wins under their belts to date, including four in a row between 2015 and 2018. But Bilbao are second with 23 and recently beat the Catalan giants in the Spanish Super Cup, so they certainly have what it takes to get it done.

Bilbao have lost their last five Copa del Rey finals, while Barcelona have only ever lost 11 of their 42 appearances. One of those defeats came in their last final, however, when they went down 2-1 to Valencia in 2019.
