Arsenal seek to add three more points in their push to reach next season’s Champions League group phase. Mikel Arteta’s side are in fourth place on 48 points, 21 points behind first-placed Manchester City. Fifth-placed Manchester United, the first club outside of the Champions League spots, are a point behind the Gunners. Arsenal won their last Premier League match 3-2 at Vicarage Road against Watford, extending their unbeaten streak to five matches (four wins and one draw).
Arsenal have been led by Emile Smith Rowe and Bukayo Saka. Smith Rowe is the club’s top scorer with nine goals, four of which have been the crucial first of the match. Saka has been nearly as impressive, scoring eight times, including three match-openers. At the Emirates Stadium this season, Arsenal have nine wins, two draws, and two losses in 13 Premier League contests. The Gunners have a three-match home unbeaten streak (two wins and one draw) dating to January 23 against Burnley. In their last six league matches, Arsenal have won four, drawn one and lost one.

Leicester City are looking to end the season on a high note. The Foxes defeated Leeds United 1-0 at home in their last Premier League match, putting them in 12th place on 33 points. They have scored 40 goals and conceded 43 through 25 matches, leaving them trailing fifth-placed Manchester United by 14 points for a spot in the Europa League. Jamie Vardy has been the leading attacking threat for Leicester, netting on 10 occasions. He is tied for fifth among the league’s top scorers in 2021/2022. In fact, Vardy has scored 11 Premier League goals against Arsenal, with only Wayne Rooney (12) netting more against the Gunners in the competition’s history. He’s also the joint-highest goalscorer in away Premier League games against Arsenal (five, level with Teddy Sheringham). On the road, Leicester have three wins, three draws, and six losses away from home this season in league matches. They’ve won two, drawn two and lost two in their last six Premier League fixtures.
Arsenal vs Leicester City: Match Stats
Arsenal are looking to complete the league double over Leicester for the first time since 2015/16, following their 2-0 victory at the King Power Stadium earlier this season. Arteta’s men have taken 25 points from their last 30 available in the Premier League (eight wins, one draw and one loss). No side has earned more points over their last 10 Premier League games than the Gunners (they’re level with Manchester City). The Londoners have also won their last four Premier League matches, each by a margin of just one goal. The last team to win five consecutive Premier League games all by a single goal were Birmingham City in November/December 2009.
Bukayo Saka has been involved in more Premier League goals than any other Arsenal player this season (13 – eight goals and five assists). Furthermore, the young Englishman has registered nine goal involvements in his last 10 top-flight appearances (six goals and three assists). Alexandre Lacazette meanwhile has provided more assists than any other Arsenal player in the Premier League this season (seven). His two assists at Watford last time out took him to 100 goal involvements in all competitions in his Arsenal career (70 goals and 30 assists across 196 appearances).
Leicester won this exact fixture 1-0 last season, ending a 23-game winless run away at Arsenal in league competition. They’ve never won successive away league games against the Gunners before. Only against Manchester United (65) have Leicester conceded more Premier League goals than they have against Arsenal (63). Four different Arsenal players have netted a hat-trick against the Foxes, with no team having more against an opponent in the competition (Dennis Bergkamp, Nicolas Anelka, Thierry Henry and Alexis Sánchez). Leicester’s last two Premier League games have seen them beat Burnley 2-0 and Leeds United 1-0.
The Foxes haven’t won three consecutive league games without conceding since a run of four in November 2019, the third game of which was a 2-0 victory against Arsenal. No side has kept fewer away clean sheets in the Premier League than Leicester City this season, albeit their only shutout away from home did come in their last such game (2-0 vs Burnley). However, Leicester have also only failed to score in one away Premier League game this term, with only Man Utd (0) failing in fewer.
