AC Milan vs Udinese: Predictions
AC Milan maintained their four-point gap behind Serie A leaders and city rivals Inter Milan on the weekend with an impressive 2-1 win away to Champions League-chasing Roma. Ante Rebic’s second-half strike regained Milan’s lead and proved enough to earn Stefano Pioli’s side the points.
Udinese find themselves in relatively good form with only one defeat in their last seven games and two impressive draws against Inter and Atalanta. Although AC Milan will be expected to prevail, Udinese have proven over the past few months they can be a tough nut to crack.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic finds himself in a small goal drought – by his standards – having not scored in his last three games. The Swede has 14 goals in Serie A this season, however, Inter’s Romelu Lukaku (18) is now Cristiano Ronaldo’s (19) closest competition in the race to earn the title of Serie A top scorer.
Milan may not be able to leapfrog Inter with a win, but they will be wanting to keep tabs on their rivals and not fall any further behind in the race for the Serie A title. Pioli will also be aiming to keep a safe distance from third-placed Juventus with the Old Lady currently six points behind but with a game in hand.

AC Milan vs Udinese: Match Stats
Over the course of the second-half of the Serie A season, only Lukaku (six) has scored more goals than Milan’s Ante Rebic (four). The striker netted the winner on the weekend against Roma and with Ibrahimovic struggling in front of goal since his altercation with Lukaku last month, Rebic will be looking to propel his side to another victory on Wednesday.
No other team has scored fewer first-half goals than Udinese (nine) this season and only Napoli (eight) have conceded fewer first-half goals than AC Milan (nine), so we could see AC Milan take a first-half lead against the northern Italian side.

AC Milan have enjoyed their last two meetings against Udinese, however, Wednesday’s visitors have done pretty well against Milan looking further back.
