AC Milan vs Red Star Belgrade: Predictions
AC Milan will be looking to bounce back from their crushing defeat on the weekend to city rivals Inter. The 3-0 loss saw Inter extend their lead at the top of the Serie A over Milan to four points. Lautaro Martínez netted twice and Romelu Lukaku piled the misery on Stefano Pioli.
Milan blew a certain 2-1 win on Thursday in Belgrade as 10-man Red Star fought back to earn a draw on the night with a stoppage-time equaliser. Despite receiving a red card in the 77th-minute, Red Star drew level through Milan Pavkov as the striker opened his account in the Europa League for this season.
Despite the congestion of fixtures, the late equaliser last week will have forced Pioli’s hand into fielding a stronger team than he will have wanted to. Although Milan remains in the Serie A title race, the Europa League should be seen as a huge opportunity to lift silverware this season for Pioli.

AC Milan vs Red Star Belgrade: Match Stats
Milan have scored 14 times in the Europa League this season but neither of their main strikers has found the back of the net in the competition. Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Mario Mandzukic both enter the game without a goal in the Europa League this season, however, whichever of them starts on Thursday will be expected to contribute as they target the last 16.
Pioli’s side has looked shaky defensively over the course of the last three games, conceding seven goals. City rivals Inter tore them apart on Sunday in an emphatic 3-0 defeat for Milan, but they will be hoping to rectify their defensive woes come Thursday night.
