The 2021/22 Eredivisie season has come to an end, with the final day dishing out heartache, drama and ecstasy in equal measure.

PSV pushed Ajax close in the title race, but Roger Schmidt will not be disheartened by a runners-up medal, securing a Champions League qualification place in the process, and finishing up with a 2-1 win over already-relegated PEC Zwolle, who collected the wooden spoon for the 2021/22 campaign, finishing dead last.
The Bluefingers will be joined in the Eerste Divisie by Willem II who, despite beating seventh-placed Utrecht 3-0 on the final day, finished in 17th, while Heracles Almelo face an anxious wait to see if they will retain their top-flight status having finished in the relegation play-off position.
