Besiktas will look to get their Super Lig title charge back on track when they host Alanyaspor on Wednesday at 5pm (UK time).
Sergen Yalçın’s men remain two points clear of Fenerbahce at the top of the table with a game in hand despite taking just one point from their last two outings. Meanwhile, Alanyaspor are fifth, still clinging to the hope of securing Europa League football for next season.

Besiktas vs Alanyaspor build-up, previous line-ups & injury news:
After drawing 1-1 with Istanbul and title rivals Fenerbahce prior to the international break, Besiktas returned to action with a shock 1-0 defeat to Kasımpaşa last time out — their first loss in any competition since falling 2-1 to Trabzonspor at the end of January. That said, the Black Eagles remain two points clear at the top of the table with a game in hand on their nearest rivals as they seek to end a three-year wait for a Turkish league title.
Alanyaspor emerged 2-1 victors the last time these two sides met but head to Istanbul on a run of three consecutive defeats, including falling to relegation-threatened Gençlerbirliği (2-1) in their last match. Even so, Çağdaş Atan’s side remain fifth in the table and can still reasonably hope to catch Trabzonspor in the fourth and final European spot, though they can ill-afford to slip up again if they’re to close that seven-point gap.
- Besiktas (vs Kasımpaşa): Destanoğlu; Uysal, Welinton, Vida, N’Sakala; Souza; Rosier, Hutchinson, Ljajić, N’Koudou; Larin.
- Alanyaspor (vs Gençlerbirliği): Marafona; Juanfran, Aksoy, Moubandje, Bingöl; Siopis, Kutlu; Kądzior, Uçan, Davidson; Pektemek.
Striker Vincent Aboubakar is injured for the hosts, while Ajdin Hasic remains sidelined long-term. Cenk Tosun and Dorukhan Tokoz are doubts. As for Alanyaspor, Efecan Karaca and Steven Caulker are injured.

Player to watch: Cyle Larin (Besiktas)
Only Besiktas teammate Aboubakar (15) and Hatayspor’s Aaron-Salem Boupendza (18) have scored more than Cyle Larin’s 14 Super Lig goals this season, with the Canada international also netting three times in the Turkish Cup and once in the Champions League to take his total to 18 so far.
The 25-year-old initially struggled to adjust to life in Istanbul after joining from MLS side Orlando City in 2018, scoring just eight goals across his first 26 Besiktas appearances. However, a season-long loan in Belgium with Zulte Waregem seems to have given Larin the confidence he needed to come back to Turkey and take the Super Lig by storm.
Larin has developed into a multi-faceted striker, equally as effective going one-on-one with opposition defenders as he is leading the press and forcing turnovers in dangerous areas, while his pace and physicality make him perfect for leading counter-attacks and getting on the end of crosses.
Only Galatasaray and Trabzonspor (both 30) have conceded fewer goals than Alanyaspor (31) in the Super Lig this season but after an international break that yielded four goals in two games for Canada, Larin might well have what it takes to break down Atan’s defence and fire Besiktas to a much-needed victory.
