Besiktas still harbour hopes of qualifying for the Europa League this season and host in-form Antalyaspor on Saturday.
With a five-point gap now open between the Black Eagles and Sivasspor, Sergen Yalcin’s side can afford no more slip-ups in their chase for a top-four finish.
With just one defeat in their last seven games, the home side will feel confident they can produce another good display, especially after holding in-form Galatasaray to 0-0 draw in their last match.

Ones to watch
Besiktas: Atiba Hutchinson
Canadian international Atiba Hutchinson has been a vital player in the midfield for the Black Eagles this season. He is one of those individuals who never seems to get the praise he deserves but if he is not in the team, his absence is badly felt.
The 37-year-old has oodles of experience and, having joined Besiktas in 2013, knows this league inside out. He is closing in on 250 appearances for the Istanbul outfit, a marker that would highlight his importance to the team over the last seven seasons.
Key stat: Atiba Hutchinson has made 43 successful tackles for Besiktas this season, more than any other player on the team.
Antalyaspor: Hakan Ozmert
The 34-year-old midfielder has been excellent this season for Antalyaspor. His role as a deep-lying playmaker is well suited to his vision and passing ability with the French-born midfielder completing a team-high 812 passes during the campaign.
It is no surprise that he also leads the team in assists (3) and will be vital if the Scorpions are to continue their good run of results.
Key stat: Hakan Ozmert has created 52 chances for Antalyaspor in the Super Lig this season, at least 29 more than any of his teammates.
Besiktas have a number of familiar faces to those more used to following Europe’s top five leagues. Kevin-Prince Boateng is likely to pair up with captain Burak Yilmaz in attack after a decent, if a bit quiet, display against Galatasaray.
Former Arsenal man Mohamed Elneny should keep his place in the centre of the park along with the experienced Atiba Hutchinson while Croatian international Domagoj Vida remains the heart in central defence for the Black Eagles.
Dorukhan Tokoz remains out long-term while Douglas is a major doubt and is likely to be unavailable.
Predicted XI: Karius; Gonul, Vida, Ruiz, Erkin; Boyd, Hutchinson, Elneny, N’Koudou; Yilmaz, Boateng.

With eight games without defeat under their belts, Antalyaspor will be unlikely to change anything from the impressive win over Sivasspor.
Tuna may elect to freshen things up but ‘if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it’ would be a good expression to bear in mind going into another tough clash. However, Charles and Bahadir Ozturk are both on the injured list and will play no part.
Predicted XI: Boffin; Sangare, Sari, Celustka, Kudryashov; Ozmert, Fredy; Gumus, Podolski, Amilton; Jahovic.
Antalyaspor’s recent good form makes this one interesting. They are undefeated in their last eight games which includes a 2-2 draw at home against Fenerbahce and a 1-0 win over Sivasspor, doing Besiktas a huge favour in the process.
Even so, the Black Eagles know they must win this in order to keep the pressure on Sivasspor if they are to chase down a top-four berth. The game, therefore, is likely to be played mostly in the Antalyaspor half with the visitors hoping to hit the hosts on the counter.
Sound like it should be entertaining at least.
