It was first blood to Barcelona after they claimed Game One with a 97-88 success. Seven players scored in double figures for Barça with an 11-0 run at the beginning of the fourth quarter proving to be decisive. Nicolas Laprovittola finished as the game’s top scorer with 19 points, dropping nine of them in the fourth quarter.
Nikola Mirotic, who also had seven rebounds, posted 10 out of his 14 points in the final quarter as Barcelona outscored Real 34-27 to secure the win. Real were up 63-64 with 10 minutes to play and led 47-50 at halftime. Sergio Rodriguez (16 points), Edy Tavares (15 points and seven rebounds) and Sergio Llull (14 points) stood out for Real.
Game Two was a really close affair with Laprovittola putting home a pair of free throws with six seconds remaining to hand Barcelona a 86-85 victory, subsequently leaving them one win away from championship glory. Real will be kicking themselves as they were up 74-80 with 2:08 to play after a 3-15 run through seven minutes in the fourth quarter. Mirotic posted 25 points, five rebounds, and four assists for Barça in what could potentially be his last home game with them.
