After missing out on La Liga last season, Barcelona must restart their revolution yet again, this time with Ronald Koeman at the helm.
The summer of 2020 was a tempestuous one for the Blaugrana, tainted by Lionel Messi’s desire to leave and problems with the boardroom. Koeman also hasn’t enjoyed the best start on the pitch but, thankfully for Barcelona fans, that doesn’t carry over to FIFA 21.
Instead, on FIFA 21, Barcelona are one of the best teams in the game with the best player in Lionel Messi.
But how do the rest of the squad match up? We’ve got you covered. Read on for Barcelona’s FIFA 21 player ratings and stats in full.
Squad list is based on players in latest downloadable update at time of publication.
Barcelona’s FIFA 21 ratings: Goalkeepers
Although they haven’t been able to rely on him much so far this season, due to injury, Marc-Andre ter Stegen remains one of the best goalkeepers in the game, with his 90 overall bettered only by Jan Oblak. But there is a fairly steep drop to his backup Neto, with the Brazilian’s overall at 82. Third-choice, and usual Barcelona B goalkeeper, Iñaki Peña is 65 rated.

Barcelona’s FIFA 21 ratings: Defenders
Barcelona’s defence is pretty much the same as it was in FIFA 20, with only Sergino Dest (75 rated) signed in the summer. Gerard Pique has dropped in overall by two from FIFA 20 but remains one of the top defenders in the game, rated 86. The Spaniard is joined on that number by Clement Lenglet and Jordi Alba, with the former enjoying a +1 boost for his performances in 2019/20. Sergi Roberto and Samuel Umtiti also have respectable ratings, keeping their 83s from last year, while Junior Firpo, Ronald Araujo and Andres Solano make up the defensive roster.

Barcelona’s FIFA 21 ratings: Midfielders
Midfield is Barcelona’s strongest department when it comes to depth in numbers, but it is lacking in quality outside of the big names. Sergio Busquets continues to be the highest rated, with an overall score of 87, and even he has decreased by two from FIFA 20. Frenkie de Jong is two behind the Spaniard, keeping his overall from 85, and he is joined by Barcelona’s new signing Miralem Pjanic. A returning Philippe Coutinho (83), is the one remaining Barcelona midfielder with an overall higher than 80. There is then a big drop to the likes of Riqui Puig, Carles Aleña and Pedri whose ratings fall in the 70s while another trio after in the 60s.

Barcelona’s FIFA 21 ratings: Forwards
As we mentioned, Lionel Messi is the best player in FIFA 21, with his overall of 93 unmatched in the traditional game modes. And Barcelona are fortunate to be able to still call him theirs, though that may not be the case for much longer. Also among Barcelona’s attacking options are Antoine Griezmann (87) and Ousmane Dembele (83), who have dropped two and one overall respectively from FIFA 20. As with the midfield, there is a drop to the next batch of Barcelona forwards, with new signing Trincão having an overall of 78, two higher than wonderkid Ansu Fati (though his potential is great) and Martin Braithwaite. A quartet of players with ratings in the 60s complete Barcelona’s team.
