Atalanta continue their push to finish runners-up in Serie A when they visit Genoa on Saturday afternoon (14:00 UK time).
Gian Piero Gasperini’s men currently occupy second place but face stiff competition from at least three clubs (AC Milan, Napoli and Juventus) whilst their hosts recently staved off relegation.

Genoa vs Atalanta build-up, previous line-ups & injury news:
The spectre of relegation is no longer hovering over Genoa who have secured another season in Italy’s top division. Davide Ballardini’s men last time out ended a two-match losing streak when they ran out 0-2 winners at Bologna which ultimately helped Il Grifone to stave off demotion. Genoa’s focus now will be ending their home campaign in style. They go into this fixture having won just once across seven previous outings at Stadio Luigi Ferraris which includes five draws.
A third successive Champions League campaign is potentially on the horizon for Atalanta who currently occupy second place. If they are to finish as runners-up it will mark their best Serie A placement and further proof of their unyielding ascent under Gian Piero Gasperini who has turned La Dea into an unrelenting goal machine. Heading into the penultimate game of this season Atalanta are the league’s top scorer on 86 goals and last time on the road they put five past a hapless Parma side.
- Genoa (vs Bologna): Perin; Goldaniga, Zapata, Masiello, Zappacosta; Strootman, Badelj, Behrami; Pandev; Scamacca, Shomurodov.
- Atalanta (vs Benevento): Gollini; Hateboer, Romero, Palomino, Gosens; De Roon, Freuler; Malinovskyi, Pessina, Muriel; Zapata.
Milan Badelj, Lennart Czyborra, Domenico Criscito and Luca Pellegrini are expected to miss out for Genoa this weekend. As for the visitors Rafael Toloi and Luis Muriel are doubts.

Player to watch: Luis Muriel (Atalanta)
Effective is a great word to describe Luis Muriel’s season. The 30-year-old Colombian centre-forward has featured 34 times for Atalanta but never once completed the full 90 minutes despite starting on 16 occasions. That being said, he is by some distance the club’s leading marksman on 22 goals, with 10 of those coming on the road which subsequently makes him the second play in Atalanta history after Filippo Inzaghi (1996/97) to score at least 10 goals both home and away in a single Serie A season. Muriel with two matches remaining needs a brace to equal Inzaghi’s record for most goals for La Dea in a single Italian top-flight campaign (24 in 1996/97).
