The 2019/20 runner-up spot in Serie A is on the line when Atalanta host Inter Milan on Saturday evening.
Antonio Conte’s side are in the driver’s seat having accumulated 79 points, one more than La Dea and Lazio, who’ll be on the road against Napoli.
Finishing second will be Inter’s highest league placement since the 2010/11 season, when they entered that campaign as defending champions.
As for Gian Piero Gasperini’s men, they are on an upward trajectory and are guaranteed a third top-four finish across the last four seasons.

Atalanta & Inter Milan’s previous line-ups:
- Atalanta (vs Parma): Gollini; Sutalo, Caldara, Palomino; Castagne, Freuler, De Roon, Gosens; Pasalic, Papu Gómez; Zapata.
- Inter Milan (vs Napoli): Handanovic; De Vrij, Bastoni, D’Ambrosio; Candreva, Brozovic, Barella, Biraghi; Valero; Lukaku, Sánchez.
Jose Luis Palomino and Josip Ilicic will be sitting this game out for Atalanta while Inter Milan are without Matias Vecino and Stefano Sensi for Sunday’s showdown at the Stadio Atleti Azzurri d Italia.
Players to watch:
Atalanta: With one game remaining Papu Gómez sits in the box seat for this season’s Serie A ‘assist king’ crown. He’s created 16 goals across 35 matches, one ahead of Lazio star Luis Albero, who remains his biggest threat for the accolade. The Atalanta captain has form on his side, in a sense. Following the league’s resumption, he’s produced six assists in 11 outings but is currently on a four-match drought.
Inter Milan: Inter’s record away from home this year has been modest to say the least. Conte’s men have played 10 times on the road, but managed to win half of them, with the most recent coming last time out against Genoa a game that saw Lautaro Martínez complete 64 minutes. Since returning from a two-match suspension in February the Argentine marksman has only managed three goals across 14 outings, all of which have been scored exclusively at home. His last away-day strike came at Napoli on January 6.
Scoreline prediction: Atalanta 3-2 Inter Milan
