Arsenal vs Liverpool predictions, line-ups, betting offer and TV info | Premier League preview
Arsenal’s hopes for European football will be on the line when they host Premier League champions Liverpool on Wednesday night (20:15 kick off).
With Manchester City‘s ban from European football being overturned, Arsenal cannot now qualify for the Champions League and must now turn to the Europa League for their continental action next season. But as things stand, the Gunners are five points behind sixth-placed Wolverhampton Wanderers with three games remaining – the final Europa League spot.
Seventh would also be enough to secure Europa League football should Arsenal not win the FA Cup but the Gunners are also four points off Sheffield United after their north London Derby loss against Tottenham Hotspur.
But standing in their way, Liverpool are still in search of history having already wrapped up the title. With three games remaining, the Reds are eight points away from breaking Manchester City’s record for most points in a single Premier League campaign which currently stands at 100.
Only maximum points will do for Liverpool, however, who haven’t been in the best form since football returned.

- Liverpool (vs Burnley): Alisson; Williams, Gomez, Van Dijk, Robertson; Wijnaldum, Fabinho, Jones; Salah, Firmino, Mane.
Neither side has any fresh injury concerns but Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is likely to rotate his side once more, with Trent Alexander-Arnold expected to return in defence.
Player to watch: Mohamed Salah
Although a lot of the conversation in the remaining weeks of the season has been surrounding Jamie Vardy, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and the race for the Premier League Golden Boot, Mohamed Salah is still in with a chance.
The Egyptian is just one goal behind Aubameyang on 19, having scored three in five games since the Premier League returned and is closing in on the 20 mark for the third consecutive season. Should Salah reach 20 against Arsenal, or in any of Liverpool‘s remaining three games, then he would be the first player to score 20+ goals in three consecutive top-flight campaigns for the Reds since Roger Hunt did it in four between 1962/62 and 1965/66.
For some, Salah has not been having his best season, with Mane writing a lot of the headlines with regards to Liverpool‘s attack. But the Egyptian has been just as, if not more, key when it comes to Liverpool‘s goals. Including his nine assists, has been directly involved in 28 Premier League goals this season, more than any other Liverpool player and 36.8% of their total tally. Across the rest of the Premier League, only Kevin De Bruyne (29) has been directly involved in more goals. An assist against Arsenal would see Salah become just the eighth player to score 10+ goals and record 10+ assists in one of Europe’s top five leagues this season.
And there is a good chance of at least one of the milestones happening at the Emirates. In six Premier League games against the Gunners, Salah has been directly involved in eight goals, scoring six and recording two assists – including his first strike as part of Chelsea’s 6-0 win over Arsenal in 2014.
