Arsenal v Chelsea preview: betting acca tips, team news and predictions

Arsenal and Chelsea meet at the Camping World Stadium in the early hours of Sunday morning for this year’s Florida Cup (1AM kick-off, UK time).
Last summer’s reigning champions are Everton, so Orlando is set to have a second successive English winner for the first time since the competition’s inception in 2015. So far Chelsea have defeated Club America and lost to Charlotte FC on penalties, while Arsenal have claimed a 3-1 win over Orlando City.
Sunday’s showdown marks the final game of the 2022 Florida Cup and the winner will claim the pre-season silverware.

Arsenal team news
Mikel Arteta has enjoyed a strong pre-season so far with Arsenal, overseeing wins against Ipswich Town, Nurnberg, Everton and Orlando City, and it’s been an impressive start so far for new boy Gabriel Jesus. The Brazilian has bagged three goals in three games, including a debut brace against Nurnberg in Germany and the opener in the club’s 2-0 win over Everton. He will once again be expected to lead the line for Arsenal against Chelsea in what will be the real acid test of his pre-season with the Gunners so far.
Fabio Vieira is yet to play for the club this summer after recovering from a foot injury sustained at international level with Portugal U21s, but he could feature against Chelsea, and fans can expect a player similar to Bernardo Silva this weekend according to his teammate Emile Smith Rowe.
“He’s very similar [to Silva]. He’s a very good passer of the ball, his left foot is very good and he likes to create goals and score them himself,” Smith Rowe said.
“I’ve already played against him at international level, so I can’t speak highly enough of him, and the fans should be really excited.
“At the Euro Under-21s, they [Portugal] beat us 2-0 and he was unbelievable in that game.”
Chelsea team news
As for the Blues, they recently revealed the shirt numbers of two of their new stars for this pre-season, with Raheem Sterling confirmed to be wearing Eden Hazard’s old 17 jersey, while Kalidou Koulibaly is set to wear the legendary 26 top this summer — a sacred number previously worn by club legend John Terry.
The former centre-back appeared to give Koulibaly his blessing to wear his former shirt — which many Chelsea fans believed had been retired — when he signed for the club after tweeting him directly with the caption: “Another Great Signing @kkoulibaly26. Welcome to @ChelseaFC & Good Luck Mate.”

Good Luck Mate 💙

Terry also captioned ’26’ in block emojis to finish off the tweet, suggesting he has no qualms with Koulibaly donning his old number at Stamford Bridge, which has been vacant since the club’s former captain left in 2017, some five years ago now.
Koulibaly has worn the 26 shirt since he joined Napoli in 2014, and even has the number in his Twitter handle (similar to Terry) but some Chelsea fans have not reacted well to their new centre-back claiming Terry’s former shirt, despite the club stressing on their official website that “these pre-season numbers are not confirmed for the season ahead”.
Nah man that’s shocking.
I love Koulibaly so much, but that’s a serious disrespect to our best player ever. Number 4 is available … hope he will change for the real season .

Personally, I feel like the no26 should’ve been retired out of respect for John Terry. However, if there’s anyone that’s worthy of wearing that no26 shirt, it’s Kalidou Koulibaly. Also, JT gave his blessing so no one should really be complaining lol.

Why are people saying Koulibaly should wear the number 26?
No one should ever be allowed to wear that number again after Terry

Scoreline prediction: Arsenal 3-2 Chelsea
