Arsenal will be looking to return to winning ways when they face Bournemouth in the Premier League this weekend.

Unai Emery’s men snatched a draw against Manchester United earlier in the week meaning they’ve now won just one of their last five league outings.

Bournemouth, meanwhile, couldn’t make it three wins on the bounce as they were held to a 2-2 draw by West Ham. Eddie Howe’s team haven’t been the greatest of travellers of late having failed to win in three of their last five Premier League matches.

Ones to watch

Arsenal: Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang

Who else but the man of the moment. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has taken to life in north London like a duck to water. Across his opening 56 league outings for the Gunners he’s claimed 39 goals, matching or breaking records along the way. Having scored in each of Arsenal’s last four Premier League games expect him to continue that streak this weekend.

Key stat: Aubameyang is the second Arsenal player to score at least seven goals in the first seven matches of a Premier League season after Dennis Bergkamp (1997/98).

Bournemouth: Callum Wilson

Bourenmouth have their own supreme marksman in Callum Wilson even if he’s not at the world-class level Aubameyang nominally operates in. That being said, the thrice-capped England international is a proven striker in the Premier League having bagged five goals across seven matches to date this season. Given how Arsenal’s likely central defensive pairing have struggled this season he could be in for some joy.

Key stat: Wilson has scored in each of his last four Premier League appearances for Bournemouth.

Squawka prediction

This will be Arsenal’s third game in a week. Emery, to counter this schedule, will no doubt have rotated his squad. Bournemouth in the past have proven to be a tricky opponent for the Gunners and will no doubt give them a stern examination, but we are expecting the Cherries to narrowly lose out.

Scoreline prediction: Arsenal 2-0 Bournemouth
