Reigning champions Efes (10-11) seek to end a three-game losing streak this week. A narrow 114-144 loss at Baskonia was also Efe’s fourth loss in five matches. Shane Larkin stepped up for Efes with 21 points and six assists. Larkin already boasts the EuroLeague single-game scoring record with 49 points in a victory over Bayern Munich in November 2019. He also posted a EuroLeague-record-tying 10 three-pointers against Olympiacos Piraeus in March 2020 when he scored 40 points. Larkin needs five triples to reach 400 for his career.

As for Zalgiris (12-9), they fell to an 89-65 loss to Panathinaikos last time out. They had led 42-27 at half-time before collapsing in the last two quarters. Rolands Smits would finish as their leading scorer with 11 points while Kevarrius Hayes was the games leading rebounder with seven. Hayes currently ranks sixth this season in offensive rebounding with 2.5 per game and third in blocks with 1.1 per game. Smits, meanwhile, has scored in double figures and had double-digit PIRs in five of his last six games. He’s also made 17 consecutive free throws.
