Pick 1. Chelsea (10/11) to score 4 or more v Plymouth

Thomas Tuchel will be seeking to maintain Chelsea’s proud FA Cup record this weekend. Across four of the past five seasons they’ve reached the final albeit winning just once. Last time out they brushed Chesterfield (5-1) aside meaning they’ve now scored 12 goals in their three FA Cup home matches against non-Premier League teams since the beginning of last season. Plymouth, who are currently seventh in League One, have conceded eight goals in their three most recent away trips.

Pick 2. Inter (4/5) to win v Milan

There’s nothing quite like the Derby della Madonnina especially when both teams are doing well. Inter lead Serie A and sit four points ahead of their city rivals AC Milan heading into this latest San Siro showdown. Simone Inzaghi’s men, who also have a game in hand, are the only Italian top division side this season with an unbeaten home record — winning nine of those previous 11 outings — and the Nerazzurri have won six of the last eight Milan derbies including a 3-0 rout enroute to winning last season’s championship.

Pick 3. Atletico (8/13) to win or draw v Barcelona

As a player, Diego Simeone was never able to enjoy winning a La Liga at the Camp Nou, across four matches — while representing Sevilla and Atletico Madrid — he suffered three losses. It’s no different while managing Atletico: no wins in nine previous trips. However, bringing things up to date, Atleti are unbeaten in their last four games against Barça, keeping a clean sheet in each of the last three. As for Xavi’s men, they’ve scored just four goals in their four most recent games.

Pick 4. Tottenham (10/11) to win v Brighton

The pressure to succeed at Tottenham continues to grow. Following a disappointing winter transfer window all eyes are on how far Antonio Conte takes Spurs this season. Winning a first FA Cup since 1991 is at least a possibility, they also meet a favourable opponent this weekend as the Lillywhites have won all of the six home showdowns against Brighton in the Premier League era by an aggregate score of 11-3. On top of that, Spurs have won three of their last four home matches.

Pick 5. Liverpool (1/9) to win v Cardiff

Believe it or not, Liverpool have never gone beyond the FA Cup 4th round under Jurgen Klopp’s leadership. There’s a chance of setting that right when they face Championship side Cardiff at Anfield this weekend. Their visitors have it all to do as the Reds are unbeaten across their 16 home matches — which includes a 3rd round win over Shrewsbury Town (4-1) — in all competitions this season. The Bluebirds meanwhile have won just one of their last five road games.
