2021 NFL Draft live stream: Where to watch online

The new American football season may not start until September, but the excitement begins now with the 2021 NFL Draft scheduled to take place between April 29 and May 1.

Cleveland is the host city for this year’s Draft, the 86th edition, with locations including FirstEnergy Stadium, the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and the Great Lakes Science Center all taking part. The Draft allows NFL franchises to select newly eligible players ahead of the 2021 season, with each initially assigned seven picks (one per round). However, franchises are allowed to trade picks, meaning some will have more than seven and some fewer. This year Philadelphia Eagles are the franchise with the most picks, with 11, while Seattle Seahawks have the fewest (three).

The Draft will be split across three days, with the first round taking place on Thursday, April 29 (first pick takes place around 1am Friday, April 30 UK time) . On Friday, April 30 (12am UK time on Saturday, May 1), rounds two and three will go ahead while rounds four to seven will take place on Saturday, May 1 (5pm UK time).

Who has the first pick?

The first pick in the Draft (unless traded) falls to the worst-ranked team from the previous NFL season and for 2021 that is the Jacksonville Jaguars, who won just one of their 16 games. New York Jets coming in at second, having won two matches last season, while San Francisco 49ers complete the first three having traded with Miami Dolphins who initially traded with Houston Texans.
