The NFL awards odds below cover Coach of the Year, both Rookie of the Year races, Defensive Player of the Year and Offensive Player of the Year, with MVP on its own page because its rules deserve the room. Each award has a type, and the boards make a lot more sense once you know it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What separates this page from a static board: every summer price is kept beside where the market has since moved it. With three weeks of results in, all four boards tracked below have a different favourite than they opened with, two of them changed hands again in the past week, and one of the summer favourites is on injured reserve. 19+ (18+ in AB, MB and QC).<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n

How the award boards have moved since the summer<\/h2>\n\n

Award futures get priced in July and settled in February, and most pages carrying them never mention what happened in between. Three weeks of football have cost all four of these boards the favourite they opened with, and in the past week two of them changed hands again. Every board further down this page now keeps three prices side by side, the summer opening, the level we published on 24 September and the level today, so the movement is checkable rather than asserted.<\/p>\n\n

The Rookie of the Year boards are where a week has done the most work. Jeremiyah Love has gone from +340 to +400 to +125 to +150 on the offensive side, which is a price that no longer pays for the risk. On the defensive side Jacob Rodriguez has come from +800 to +900 to favourite at +300 to +400 while David Bailey, the favourite a week ago, has drifted to +450 to +500.<\/p>\n\n

The two Player of the Year boards moved the same way for the opposite reason: both favourites shortened again. Neither is the man leading the relevant statistical category, which the two sections below take apart.<\/p>\n\n

NFL Coach of the Year odds<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Coach of the Year is the one award here that the aggregators stopped repricing publicly once camp broke, so rather than guess at a current number, the second table sets each opening price against what the first three weeks actually produced. The pattern is not subtle: Harbaugh, Minter and Saleh are all first-year hires, and five of the last ten winners took the award in their first season with a new team. The other five were still running turnaround seasons nobody priced. Voters reward the coach whose team beat expectations by the widest visible margin, not the best coach in football; the best coach in football wins 12 games every year and bores the electorate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Read that from the bottom up and the board is close to inverted. The three shortest August prices belong to coaches whose teams now sit 12th, 21st and 32nd in our rankings, while the longest price of the five, Joe Brady at +1500, coaches the team the model has first with a 96 per cent playoff projection. Tennessee at 0-4 with a 0 per cent projection is the clearest dead price on the page.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One name further out deserves a caveat rather than a recommendation. Klint Kubiak has Las Vegas 2-0 with a points differential of +26, which is the profile this award rewards, and he opened at +1600. Our own rankings have the Raiders 23rd with a 21 per cent playoff projection. Both things are true at once: the record is real and the model does not believe it. Five more 2-0 teams with a differential of +20 or better had their coach priced outside the opening board’s top ten, which is the usual reason this award pays what it pays.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n

NFL Rookie of the Year odds<\/h2>\n\n

Two separate markets: the Associated Press splits the rookie honour into offensive and defensive awards, and books price them independently. They were the most opinion-friendly boards of the summer, set before anyone had watched these players take a professional snap. Three weeks of real snaps have repriced both hard, and the defensive board has now changed hands twice.<\/p>\n\n

Jeremiyah Love is no longer a bet, he is a position. Opening at +475 and sitting between +340 and +400 a week ago, he is now quoted as short as +125 to +150, which prices him as the likeliest single outcome on any board on this page. Behind him the order has scrambled: Jadarian Price was second favourite a week ago and has drifted past three names, and Fernando Mendoza has now gone from +550 in August to +2500 to +3000, a drift of roughly five times his opening price in six weeks.<\/p>\n\n

Three favourites in six weeks. Rueben Bain Jr. opened shortest at +475, David Bailey took it by 24 September, and Jacob Rodriguez has taken it since, in from +800 to +900 to +300 to +400. A market that reprices its favourite twice in a month is telling you it does not know, which is the honest reading of any rookie defensive award before October.<\/p>\n\n

Two names further down are worth more than their prices suggest, because the statistical case is already there. Anthony Hill Jr. leads the entire NFL in tackles with 34<\/strong> and is quoted +2000 to +3000, and Hezekiah Masses is tied for the league lead in interceptions with three<\/strong> at +1300 to +2000. Neither plays for a good team, which is the reason the board is not interested, and Tennessee being 0-4 is a real obstacle rather than an oversight.<\/p>\n\n

One rule decides this award: rush the passer, or bring a case nobody can argue with. Edge rushers have taken five of the last six editions, which is why the top of this board rarely surprises anyone. What surprised it this year was losing the reigning winner. Myles Garrett opened at +450 as a two-time winner off a record-breaking sack season and the summer’s biggest trade, and he is on injured reserve at the Rams and out to +6600 to +8000. That is what a +450 on a two-time winner always was: a bet on health before anything else. Our NFL injury report<\/a> tracks the long-term absences behind moves like it.<\/p>\n\n

The board and the sack column do not agree, and that is the bet on this page.<\/strong> Greg Rousseau leads the NFL outright with six sacks, two of them in Buffalo’s win over the Chargers, and he is fourth on the board at +1000 to +1500. The favourite, Will Anderson Jr., is tied second on four and has shortened to +290 to +320 while Houston have gone 0-4. Mason Graham is also on four and is not in the top five of the market at all.<\/p>\n\n

Anderson’s price is the one to think hardest about. Four sacks in three games is a genuine pace, but no defensive player has won this award from a team that missed the playoffs since the criteria became this voter-driven, and Houston’s playoff projection is 21 per cent. Aidan Hutchinson, on three sacks with Detroit at 2-2, has drifted to +650 to +750 and carries none of that problem.<\/p>\n\n

NFL Offensive Player of the Year odds<\/h2>\n\n

The board prices this as a skill-position award. The first quarterback on it, Josh Allen at +2500 to +3000, sits behind seven running backs and receivers and level with two more, because the voters who would pick a passer have an MVP ballot to do it on. That makes this the most position-predictable board here and the most punishing on anyone whose touches dry up. Saquon Barkley opened favourite at +500 and is now +7500 to +8000; Justin Jefferson has gone from +1600 in July to +6000 to +6600, the sharpest fall on the board in the past week.<\/p>\n\n

The top three are in the wrong order against the statistics.<\/strong> Jahmyr Gibbs is the favourite at +300 to +330 and is fourth in the league in rushing yards with 307. Kenneth Walker III leads the league outright with 360 and is third on the board at +650 to +900. And Jaxon Smith-Njigba, second at +470 to +550, is the only player in football leading his position in all three of catches, yards and touchdowns, with 27, 405 and six.<\/p>\n\n

Gibbs is favourite because Detroit are 2-2 and he has scored four rushing touchdowns, tied third in the league, and because a running back on a winning team is what this award usually rewards. Smith-Njigba’s case is the purer one on production and the weaker one on narrative, which is the trade this market always makes.<\/p>\n\n

Read the columns together and the shared grammar of these awards appears: surprise, measured in something voters can count. Turnaround wins for coaches, immediate volume for rookies, sack totals for defenders. When a candidate does not fit the column’s pattern, you are not betting the award; you are betting that the voters change, and they rarely do.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n

How to bet the award markets<\/h2>\n\n\n\n\n\n

Small stakes, shopped prices, early or not at all. Award markets are the thinnest boards in the NFL futures menu<\/a>, which makes book-to-book gaps wide in the provinces where shopping is possible, and it makes the closing price a poor guide to value all season. What NFL awards can Canadians bet on?<\/strong>

The full menu at the Ontario and Alberta books: MVP, Coach of the Year, Offensive and Defensive Rookie of the Year, Defensive and Offensive Player of the Year, and Comeback Player. The lottery platforms elsewhere carry a thinner futures menu, and the niche award markets are often absent, so check yours first.<\/p> <\/div>

Who is the favourite for NFL Coach of the Year in 2026?<\/strong>

John Harbaugh opened shortest, in his first season with the Giants, at +600 with DraftKings on 3 August 2026. The aggregators stopped publishing a live Coach of the Year board once camp broke and still had not resumed on 29 September, so treat that as an opening price and not a current one. Three weeks in, the Giants are 3-1 and 20th in our power rankings, while the longest of those five opening prices, +1500, belongs to Joe Brady at the Buffalo side we have first.<\/p> <\/div>

Who is favoured for NFL Rookie of the Year?<\/strong>

Jeremiyah Love still leads the offensive board and has shortened to between +125 and +150, the shortest price on any award board on this page. The defensive board has changed hands twice: Rueben Bain Jr. was the narrow August favourite at +475, David Bailey led it a week ago, and Jacob Rodriguez is now favourite at +300 to +400.<\/p> <\/div>

What decides Defensive Player of the Year?<\/strong>

Sacks, mostly. Edge rushers have won five of the last six, with cornerback Pat Surtain II’s 2024 award the exception. Reigning winner Myles Garrett opened favourite at +450 and has since gone to injured reserve and out to +6600 to +8000. Will Anderson Jr. is the new favourite at +290 to +320, though Greg Rousseau leads the league in sacks with six and is fourth on the board at +1000 to +1500.<\/p> <\/div>

When are the NFL awards announced?<\/strong>

All of them at NFL Honors, the league’s awards show during Super Bowl week in February. Voting covers the regular season only, so playoff runs change nothing.<\/p> <\/div>

Are award futures a good bet?<\/strong>

They are low-liquidity markets with wide margins and wide book-to-book gaps, which cuts both ways: worse average prices, better chances of finding a genuinely wrong one.
