Calgary has won five straight at home and lost Cooley on the same day<\/h2>\n

The Flames are 6-7-0 and twenty-fourth, on a goal difference of minus thirteen. They beat Seattle 6-2 at the Saddledome on Friday. Matt Coronato had a goal and three assists, and the power play scored twice.<\/p>\n

Devin Cooley went on injured reserve on Friday with a lower-body injury.<\/strong> The feed dates him to around 14 November. He was 4-3-0 with a .914 and had started the four home wins before that one. Dustin Wolf, 2-4-0 at .847, stopped 20 of 22 against Seattle. Arsenii Sergeev was recalled from the AHL to back him up, and has yet to appear for Calgary this season.<\/p>\n

Home and away are two different clubs. Five of the six wins have come at the Saddledome, where Calgary is 5-3-0. On the road it is 1-4-0 and has been outscored 22-8. Connor Zary is newly out with a knee injury. Jonathan Huberdeau has still not played this season after hip surgery in February.<\/p>\n

Colorado finished 44 points clear of Calgary last season with the best record in the league, scoring more than a goal a game more and conceding two-thirds of a goal less. The power plays were close, 17.1 per cent against 16.2. The penalty kill was Colorado’s by four points.<\/p>\n

The Avalanche are 7-5-1 and sixteenth on fifteen points, with 54 goals for, the fourth-most in the league. They beat New Jersey 5-2 at home on Wednesday after a 6-2 defeat in Nashville on Sunday.<\/p>\n

Ball Arena is where it works.<\/strong> Colorado is 5-1-1 at home and 2-4-0 on the road. Nathan MacKinnon has 22 points in thirteen games, eight of them goals. Artturi Lehkonen has ten goals and Martin Necas 16 points.<\/p>\n

Mackenzie Blackwood is 6-3-0 at .894, with Scott Wedgewood 1-2-1 behind him. Neither number is strong; Colorado wins by outscoring people. Josh Manson is out to late December with an ankle injury. Zachary L’Heureux is on injured reserve to around 7 November, and Logan O’Connor is day to day for personal reasons.<\/p>\n

Colorado leads the all-time series 80 wins to 69 across 149 meetings and has won the last four. In the 7-3 at Calgary on 8 October, Cale Makar scored twice and Nathan MacKinnon had a goal and two assists. Colorado led 6-1 before Calgary scored twice in the third.<\/p>\n
