Portland Timbers have no fresh fitness concerns to report heading into this one, and Kristoffer Velde \u2014 their top scorer with eight goals this season \u2014 looks certain to lead the line at Providence Park. David Pereira da Costa and Ariel Lassiter, both sitting on 5 goals apiece from midfield, give the Timbers their creative spine, while Charlotte FC will again lean on Idan Toklomati Giorno, who has banked 13 goals, and attacking midfielder Pep Biel, who arrives with 12 goals and 57 chances created.<\/p>\n

Portland have won none of their last five in league play (L-L-D-L-D), and that drought, paired with Charlotte’s superior conference standing, sets up a game where the visitors will fancy their chances of controlling possession.
