Madrid claimed their third Champions League trophy in four seasons on Saturday as goals from Cristiano Ronaldo, Casemiro and Marco Asensio secured a 4-1 victory for the Spanish side over Juventus.
With Zinedine Zidane’s side scoring in every match this season and proving themselves as the elite side in Europe this campaign, Madrid players have made up the majority of the Champions League squad of the tournament, which was voted for by UEFA Technical Observers.
In total eight Real players are included in the 18-man – Ronaldo, Casemiro, Luka Modric, Toni Kroos, Isco, Sergio Ramos, Marcelo and Dani Carvajal.
Runners-up Juventus see Gianluigi Buffon, Leonardo Bonucci and Miralem Pjanic included, although the absence of Dani Alves despite a brilliant Champions League campaign has a few fans scratching their heads.
Atletico Madrid, Monaco, Barcelona and Bayern Munich are also represented in the squad with the likes of Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappe and Antoine Griezmann all earning a place.
Jan Oblak, Diego Godin, Tiemoue Bakayoko and Robert Lewandowski complete the nominated team.
