The 18-year-old, who was born in Paris, is enjoying an incredible rise to stardom with Monaco this season which recently culminated with a first senior international call-up.
Understandably, interest in his services continue to grow – with Manchester United and Arsenal among Premier League clubs linked – and Marquinhos, who has come face-to-face with the teenager, feels the Parisians should be among those pursuing.
“It’s doing very well at Monaco and I hope that our leaders are following him – he’s a player who can make the difference and has great quality,” he said, as reported by Goal.
“He’s a very good player. At his age, it’s not easy to put in successive performances in Ligue 1 that are so strong.
“He’s gone into the France squad, he’s in great form, he’s scoring goals and will be a very important player for France and Monaco.
“He’s got a great future and I hope that he continues to work hard and does not stop because there’s still a lot for him to learn.”
A graduate of Monaco’s academy Mbappé, who made his debut in the 2015/16 campaign, has featured across 32 matches this season scoring 19 goals and creating a further 11.
Of those appearances 22 have come in Ligue 1 where his 12 goals places him sixth in the race for this season’s golden boot which is led by PSG marksman Edinson Cavani (27).
