Everton have been installed as favourites to sign Jamie Vardy this summer should the England international leave Leicester City.
Reports have linked Vardy with a move to Goodison Park when the transfer window opens with Everton reportedly considering the 30-year-old as a replacement for Romelu Lukaku.
Vardy was one of the heroes of Leicester’s unlikely Premier League title win last season and also netted 13 goals in the top flight this campaign, ending the year as the Foxes’ top scorer.
With speculation rife about a potential move Ladbrokes have made Everton the favourites to secure Vardy’s signature, offering 7/4 on the striker making the move to Goodison Park.
Arsenal failed to tempt Vardy to the Emirates Stadium last summer, despite making a £20m offer, but the Gunners are the second favourites to do a deal this year although they are significantly further out in the odds at 8/1.
Meanwhile 10/1 is available for a potential transfer to Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool while the same odds are offered for a move to any Chinese Super League club.
Manchester United are at 16/1, as are Tottenham and Southampton.
Replacing Lukaku will prove tricky with the Belgian set for the exit door at Goodison Park and, as the Squawka Comparison Matrix shows, Vardy simply didn’t live up to the current Everton attacker.
Lukaku bettered his Leicester counterpart in goals scored, shot accuracy, total shots and chances created this season in the Premier League per 90 minutes played.
