Claudio Ranieri’s agent denies rumours of Leeds move for ex-Leicester boss

Claudio Ranieri’s agent insists “there’s no truth to the rumours” linking him with the managerial vacancy at Leeds United.

The former Leicester City manager, who led the club to an unexpected Premier League title triumph during the 2015/2016 season, has been heavily linked with the role at Elland Road ever since Garry Monk departed last month.

With United’s new owner and chairman Andrea Radrizzani being Italian, there had been speculation in the media that he was confident in luring his compatriot to the club this summer, but Raneiri’s agent has moved to clear up such rumours.

As reported by the Yorkshire Evening Post’s chief football writer Phil Hay, Steve Kutner has revealed: “There is no truth to the rumours.”

Ranieri has been out of a job since being dismissed from his position at the King Power Stadium back in February after the side failed to maintain such a high standard this season which had seen them flirt with the prospect of relegation.
