Zlatan Ibrahimovic: The Movie

Zlatan Ibrahimovic: The Movie

Zlatan: The Movie. Say it again. Zlatan: The Movie. Has a ring to it huh? After the book ‘I Am Zlatan Ibrahimovic’ did so well selling over 700,000 copies in Sweden alone and being published in over 15 countries, there’s been talk of a movie being made.

‘Why be a Fiat when you can be a Ferrari?’ was one of the more modest lines in a book that spilled the beans on some of the biggest names in world football, including Jose Mourinho and Lionel Messi.

The film, or documentary as might well be the case, is likely to feature his childhood including the journey into professional football and ultimately how he broke Sweden’s national goal-scoring record.

From Rosengard with more than one goal

The mooted title of the documentary will be ‘From Rosengard with more than one goal‘ and according to Swedish television network Channel 5, Zlatan himself is the man who pitched the idea; but that was obvious, right?

Zlatan press conference

Talking about the film, Zlatan has said; “It is my personal look back over the 50 more or less improbable goals I made in the Swedish national football team. I am very proud of my record in the national team and I hope that this documentary can show all you young people who are struggling to achieve their goals, anything is possible.”

Well Zlatan, the stage is yours. Go perform.
